Are you buying a property built prior to 2000?

If you are considering the purchase of a property built prior to the year 2000 there is a possibility that it may contain asbestos. Asbestos-containing materials (ACM’s), in poor condition or damaged, pose a serious risk to the health and wellbeing of those who breathe in their harmful fibres.  In addition, the management of such materials can be costly and so it is vital that you are aware of any potential outlays prior to purchasing a property. Pre-Purchase Asbestos Survey

The purpose of the Pre-Purchase Asbestos Survey is to locate and identify any Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM’s) that could be disturbed during the normal use of the property.  This is a visual survey of all surface materials and accessible elements that make up the property.

Our highly experienced surveyors will sample any suspect ACM’s identified and record their location, extent and condition. Each material is assessed individually with recommendations made regarding any future actions that may need to be taken to prevent exposure.  Our comprehensive Asbestos Survey Reports are issued with analysis results and annotated plans in PDF format, typically within 3-5 working days following the survey.
